Our first cinema trip

We’re spending all day out at Stratford city shopping centre. There’s lots to do, including our first ever visit to the cinema where we saw A Turtle’s Tale: Sammy’s Great Escape.

No risk of an Oscar win for that one.

Leo was not feeling very well and so sat there and absorbed it all. Benny wasn’t too sure about the whole experience but thankfully napped through most of it.

A first!

HMS Belfast

Mummy is a little under the weather today and so all the boys went to dad’s club and then on to an afternoon adventure on HMS Belfast.

Goodbye Phil, goodbye Ted

It is with some sadness that we have cleaned up the Phil and Ted’s double pram to be passed on to its new home.

We’ve travelled a lot of miles in the last two and a half years and couldn’t have done it without this amazing piece of kit.

Goodbye pram, hello scooters and bikes.

Natural History Museum

As the number of available weekends dwindles, so does our determination to get out there and tick things of the bucket list.

Here we are at the marvellous and amazing Natural History Museum. And it’s FREE! (All museums in the UK are free)

Bonjour Nenette

It’s Friday afternoon which means it’s time for French class with Leo’s best mate Herbie at Highbury Christchurch.

Led by Joanne, this is a great little French class/playtime. Leo’s favourite thing is to make the weekly craft/drawing. This week it was inch wincy spider with a string and everything!

Happy Valentines!

Jenny spoiled us all with pancakes and bacon and presents on Valentine’s morning.

I think she loves us!

Spaceman and Dentist

Benny having a play at a stay and play somewhere.

It looks like he’s in agony, but Leo was very brave and was a model patient throughout. “I didn’t love it, but I didn’t mind.”

Things Leo says

From the toilet, while grunting : “Mummy, my poo’s not going too well!!!”

On the way home from playgroup: “Do you know, not all children are
funny. Some children are all business.”

On Clephane Road : “I just want daddy to cuddle me”

Kung Hei Fat Choi

What were we thinking? Two kids and a BIKE on the bus into the heart of Chinatown for Chinese New Year.

Bennie woke up from his nap in his pram with some considerable trauma as we were pushed up against a wall, queuing to get into Wong Kei as a dragon dance pushed it’s way through a crazily overcrowded street. Clanging and banging and firecrackers everywhere. Poor chap though he was in Nam.

Anyway some noodles gave us all a lift on this soggy afternoon out.

Saturday afternoon fishing expedition

A lazy day at home required some fresh air, so out we went to see what we could find on the New River Walk.

They had drained it to do some cleaning, so no fish were found but it was enjoyable anyway. We’ll miss this beautiful little pocket of nature right next to our house.
